PSD2 Bank Connection

Bank transactions in your system every morning - without importing files.

Every morning: log into online banking, export CAMT, import into the system. Miss it once and reports are wrong. The PSD2 directive allows the bank to send data on its own - you do nothing.

Why it hurts

Manual CAMT import is a daily ritual - and every day is an opportunity for an error.

15 min

That is how long the daily ritual takes: log in to online banking, export the CAMT-053 file, import into the accounting system. Multiply by 250 working days. That is 62 hours per year spent on a task the bank can perform on its own.

1 missed import

Forget to import a single file and transaction matching falls a full day behind. Reports for management are wrong, reminders go out at the wrong time, and the liquidity projection shows incorrect data.

EU law

PSD2 (EU Directive 2015/2366) requires banks to give authorised third-party providers access to account data with the account holder's consent. GoCardless Bank Account Data API obtains that consent once, and from then on data flows automatically.

How it works

Three steps to a live bank transaction stream.

01
Connect your bank

One-time setup through the GoCardless Bank Account Data portal. Authorise access to your bank account. Supported banks for Slovenia: NLB, SKB, Delavska hranilnica, UniCredit. Read-only - writing to the bank account is not possible and is not required.

02
The bank sends the data

The GoCardless API retrieves new transactions directly from the bank every night (or on demand). No CAMT file, no manual export, no email. Transactions arrive in your system by 6 a.m.

03
The system matches against open items

Each transaction is automatically compared against open items by amount, reference, and date. Unmatched transactions go to a review queue. Matched ones are closed automatically.

Security: We do not store bank data on our servers. The API call is routed from GoCardless directly into your system. Access is read-only - writing to the bank account is technically impossible via the PSD2 Bank Account Data API.
